Introduction

         The Department of Data Science is committed to providing quality education in data analysis, statistics, computing, and emerging data-driven technologies. Data Science plays a significant role in transforming large and complex datasets into meaningful insights that support effective decision-making across various sectors. The programme provides students with a strong foundation in statistics, programming, database management, data analytics, machine learning, data visualization, and predictive modelling. Through practical learning, laboratory sessions, real-world projects, workshops, seminars, and industry-oriented activities, students develop analytical, computational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The department prepares students to meet the growing demand for skilled data professionals and pursue higher education, research, and diverse career opportunities in the data-driven digital world.
