Introduction

The Department of Criminology and Police Administration is committed to providing students with comprehensive knowledge of crime, criminal behaviour, policing, law enforcement, and the criminal justice system. Criminology helps students understand the causes, patterns, and consequences of crime, while Police Administration focuses on effective policing, investigation, public safety, and the administration of law enforcement agencies. The department combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure to develop students’ analytical, investigative, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through academic learning, field visits, seminars, workshops, case studies, and practical-oriented activities, students are prepared to contribute effectively to the prevention and control of crime and the promotion of a safe and just society.
